I recently completed Sooda Crew’s Conversation Level 1 class with Grace, and it was a fantastic experience. One of the most valuable parts of the course was the opportunity to practice speaking Korean with other learners in a supportive environment. Those conversations helped reinforce what I had learned independently and gave me much more confidence using Korean in work situations.

Grace created a positive, encouraging atmosphere where everyone felt comfortable participating, regardless of their skill level. Her enthusiasm and supportive attitude made every class enjoyable, and I always looked forward to our sessions. The classes were engaging, fun, and provided exactly the kind of practice I needed to take the next step in my Korean learning journey.

I took a total chance on this class and it very much paid off. I've loved Grace's content for a while now, but wasn't convinced a class environment would help until recently. After years of reading and inconsistent self study, I was missing that interaction with a class and the live correction and context I needed from a teacher. This class was a great way to make me feel like I hadn't done any study over the last four years and simultaneously make all that study finally click. The size of the class was perfect, Grace was a patient saint and never shies away from a question, and the materials that come with it are a fantastic resource. And I, of course, booked Level 2 classes before we'd started our last class in Level 1. Take my advice and don't wait on the potential boost that immersion in a live class can give your Korean learning.

This class helped me a lot in being more comfortable with speaking Korean. Despite having only 6 sessions, the lessons were well-rounded. I found Grace's explanation on the lessons were simple and concise but complete. The class exercises also really helped ease me into applying it in actual conversation.

If you’re thinking of enrolling in Convo 1, I wholeheartedly recommend it. The structure of the class really sets you up to improve step by step. Grace, our teacher, was fantastic, incredibly supportive, and fun -she made the class so enjoyable – and the resources made such a difference in my learning. All the practice and repetition built my confidence, and that confidence allowed me to listen and speak more naturally, with a cadence closer to a native speaker.

Had such a terrific experience with Grace and the Sooda crew in CONVO 1. I wasn’t sure I was ready for CONVO 1directly after Hangeul; I thought I might need to study more. But, practice makes perfect and the small group setting, and Grace’s encouragement is an ideal environment to improve.

Grace’s Conversation 1 class was an absolute joy to experience, especially as a follow-up to her Hangeul class. She made the class incredibly welcoming and created a comfortable space for everyone to speak, always being patient and ensuring that each student had ample opportunity to practice. The environment that both Grace and Gi fostered made the experience not only supportive, but genuinely fun.

The course material is top quality, focusing on Korean phrases and sentences used in everyday situations rather than isolated vocabulary from a textbook. Grace even helps students craft their own sentences to better reflect their individual day-to-day experiences, making the learning process far more personal and directly applicable to real-life conversations.

By the end of the class, I was able to recognize significantly more vocabulary and sentence structures while watching Korean shows, and I even built up the confidence to order entirely in Korean. These classes quickly became the highlight of my week, something I looked forward to even more than the weekend. It truly was that enjoyable of an experience, and I can’t recommend it enough.
