Conversation Level 1 Reviews

I am so glad I signed up for this class. It was very fun, engaging and I learned a lot. Great opportunity to start speaking, making mistakes, laughing and most of all improving your language skills. Grace does a wonderful job!

The Conversation Level One class is outstanding.  The written materials are logical and easy to follow.  The class format is participatory and interactive.  Grace makes it fun and she is extremely patient and helpful in explaining the grammar rules and nuances.  I learned a lot about conversational Korean and now have a good foundation for continuing in my progression.  Definitely glad I did this class and highly recommend it to anyone who is ready to have fun learning!

The small group live class is very ideal for learning. Grace was very patient with us and made sure that we understood and had a chance to speak. I like the group chat that was created which makes us interact with each other even when there is no class. I also appreciate the help of Gi behind the scenes. Overall, I highly recommend this class!!! Already enrolled in level 2

This is a great follow up to the Hanguel lesson! I really like the small live class setting, it makes it more comfortable to speak because you get to know everyone quickly. Grace does a great job teaching without making you feel embarrassed or overwhelmed. Gi is also a great TA, both he and Grace work hard to give you the support you need both in and out of class. This is money well spent and I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to start learning how to speak Korean in a real world setting!

Great introduction to conversational Korean. I've been an app learner for years (1478 day streak on duolingo for Korean) and I've honestly learned more functional and useful Korean in 3 weeks with Grace's Convo 1 class than I have in my 1478 day streak (as of this writing) on that popular app that rhymes with buodingo. If you want to learn Korean in an easy-going and fun environment, I would highly recommend giving this class a try. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the small class format but in the end, it was an ideal way to learn and I really enjoyed it.  One thing apps lack is instant feedback and being able to ask why is it this or that, what's the difference between these two similar words, etc.  Grace and her TA Gi were always helpful in answering questions even if it wasn't related to the course material.  (Appreciate you both!)  Looking forward to Convo 2!  So if you want to learn more Korean in 3 weeks than any app will teach you, sign up for Grace's classes.

I have been following Grace for a while on Instagram and although my Korean level is already to advanced for this Class I decided to book it to brush up on some basics. Luckily our Group was a smaller one that she usually has, so she did her best to challenge me and adjust the lessons to my needs as well. If you know her Instagram Reels you will know she is amazing in explaining things and making it fun. I really enjoyed our talks and lessons and the KakaoTalk Chat is also very fun.

I will definitely book another lesson with her if I get the chance, hopefully then more on my level :D

Long Story short: Book a class with Grace especially if you like her Instagram Reels, her lessons are even better!

The class was extremely customized to everyone's level within the class

"Before starting Grace's level 1 class, I was doing a lot of self-study for my Korean, but I didn't have a lot of practice actually speaking in real conversations with other people. So my confidence to speak it in real situations was really low.

Her class was a really good comprehensive summary of the basics that you need to actually just be able to converse in basic ways in Korean. I overcame a lot of shyness and self-consciousness with just messing up pronunciation and feeling comfortable speaking Korean in front of other people, including natives.

The class was honestly was a lot of fun and was a lot of good hands-on time from Grace herself."

And the best part of it is you make a lot of great friends along the way.

"If you're looking to learn Korean, I recommend Grace. She's great at teaching it. I'm learning how to speak Korean a lot better. I'm learning how to read Korean a lot better,

and I'm learning how to write Korean a lot better."

- Stevan -

We got a lot of practice time, we got lucky with a small class.

"I liked how as we were going through the different lessons, and if we had questions like "how would we tweak this a certain way", Grace would take the time to answer it. This way we were able to better understand the material."

- Daniel -

Your lessons are very much like your Reels, you explain things very well.

"You really did a great job in helping me, challenging me and making the lessons fun! I definitely would recommend all my friends that want to learn Korean to take a class from you."
